About Hotelpice
A small social casino with one lantern-lit machine and a firm belief that play should be free.
Where the idea came from
Most of us have a memory of a market at dusk: stacked sacks of turmeric glowing in the last light, a vendor weighing cardamom on a brass scale, carved wooden shutters throwing patterned shadows across the lane. Hotelpice grew out of that feeling. We wanted to make something that captured the pleasant bustle of a spice bazaar without asking anything from the people who visit.
The name is a small piece of wordplay. Say it quickly and the "pice" becomes "spice," which is exactly where our heads were when we started sketching. It has nothing to do with travel or lodging; it is simply the house where the spices are kept.
Why only one game
Rather than filling a lobby with dozens of half-finished machines, we chose to build one slot properly. Saffron Haul has its own illustrated symbols, a clear paytable, ten visible paylines and a reel resolver that genuinely draws each outcome at random. Putting all of our attention into a single game meant we could make it look and behave the way we wanted.
That focus also keeps things honest. There are no rotating promotions, no daily streaks and no countdown clocks trying to tug you back. You open the page, you play for as long as it's fun, and you close it again.
What we promise
Hotelpice is a social gaming site, full stop. The coins on offer are virtual, free and valueless outside the game. We don't sell them, we don't buy them back and we don't offer prizes of any monetary worth. The site is meant for adults aged 18 and over who enjoy the look and rhythm of a slot machine purely as entertainment.
We also try to keep the site light on data. Your balance lives only in your browser for as long as the tab is open, and we don't ask you to create an account. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
Who looks after the market
Hotelpice is run by a compact independent team of designers and developers who enjoy building small, careful web games. We read every message that comes through our Support page, and many of the details you'll find in Saffron Haul — the bet controls, the reset button, the plain-language paytable — came directly from player suggestions.
